How SMS opt-in works

Exactly where and how someone agrees to get texts from us — published here so anyone can verify it.

On our website

Our forms at osdtransport.com/quote, osdtransport.com/carriers, and osdtransport.com/ship include an optional Phone field. Directly beneath it sits this checkbox — never pre-checked, and never required to submit the form:

The SMS terms and privacy notice are linked directly beneath the box on every form. Submitting a form without ticking the box records no SMS consent, and we do not text that number.

By phone (verbal opt-in)

When a carrier dispatcher, driver, or shipper gives us a mobile number over the phone at load setup — on (501) 441-4130 — the OSD representative reads this script and must hear a yes before any text is sent:

"Can we text you at this number about this load? You would get check-call requests and load status updates from OSD Transport Services. Message frequency varies, message and data rates may apply, reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Terms are at osdtransport.com/sms-terms."

The yes, the date, and the representative's name are recorded in OSD's consent ledger before the first message.

The first text you get

Every newly consented number receives this confirmation as its first message:

"OSD Transport Services: You are set up to receive recurring operational load status texts and check-call requests. Msg frequency varies by load. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or call (501) 441-4130. Reply STOP to opt out."

Every disclosure, in one place

  • Message frequency varies with your load activity.
  • Message and data rates may apply.
  • Reply STOP to any message to opt out (STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, and QUIT also work). Opt-out takes effect immediately.
  • Reply HELP to any message for help, or call (501) 441-4130.
  • Consent is not a condition of doing business with OSD.
